With the core team formed from India’s premier IITs and management schools, it was found that foams that are usually used in the mattresses have already found their way into the homes and are largely adulterated. To make up the ‘mass’ of the mattress, they contain calcium carbonate as an inexpensive filler. And one should rethink if they have paid for 20 kilograms of genuine foam in the mattress.

The company believes that there is no way a genuine high-quality foam mattress should cost as much as what the current market has been conveniently and conventionally charging you.

Wakefit also conveys that the various form layers that are stacked one against another- 7 layers in some cases- provide no additional benefit as is shown in advertisements.

Over some time, Wakefit came up as a great idea deep in obsessive R&D. The company learned a lot through experiments and figured out that with some effort, an awesome mattress is an achievable reality and it’s easy on your pocket too!

Warehouse Transformation

Hesol Consulting is glad to announce that we have bagged a new warehouse startup project from Wakefit. As part of this project, Hesol would be setting up Wakefit’s main distribution center which would be located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

This distribution center would play a very crucial role in Wakefit’s supply chain. The distribution center would receive products from the manufacturing unit of Wakefit which is located in Bommasandra, Bangalore. And from there this main distribution center would play the role of storing and distributing these products across PAN India.

Some of the key scope parts of this project are:

• End-to-end value stream mapping to arrive at some of the bottlenecks in the processes.
• A detailed process optimization study to arrive at the optimized processes for the new distribution center.
• Category-specific design to achieve the best location utilization.
• Detailed facility layout design to ensure cubic space utilization through the output of the warehouse and overall unit operating cost.
• Finalize designs for all infrastructure (racks/MHE) and procurement of all required warehouse infrastructure which includes racking, material handling, and other systems involved.
• Detailed automation requirement study to finalize the functional requirement definition for a warehouse management system for the warehouse. Also, roll out RFQ and FRDs to finalize the WMS system for this distribution center.
• Deploy all infrastructure and Go-live.

Hesol would be leading the complete design and implementation of this new distribution center for Wakefit. Hesol would also lead the project management of this major distribution center implementation right from start till end.
